Passion, excellence, enthusiasm and dedication are some of the values that we at Prue Leith continuously strive for, whether it is teaching our students the art of fine dining or crafting a masterpiece on a plate for our cherished customers at Prue Leith Catering, the highly trained staff at Prue Leith will assist in realizing your culinary training aspirations and make your dreams of a very high quality dining come true. We have recently changed the name of our training institution from the Prue Leith College of Food and Wine to Prue Leith Chefs Academy and the award winning Odd Plate Restaurant has been changed to Prue Leith's Restaurant. This was all done at the same time that we revamped our logo to ensure that our visibility to the public is always at the leading edge, just like our education and food. Prue Leith OBE is one of South Africa's finest exports. Born and educated in Cape Town, she went on to create a Michelin star quality food empire in London that included Leith's School of Food and Wine, Leith's (a Michelin starred restaurant) and an offsite catering company. She sold this empire in 1995 to focus on writing novels, other business and philanthropy. Our company is based on the same excellent principles that Prue became so famous for. We only use the finest ingredients money can buy, to both cook for our customers and to teach our students. Iranian caviar and black truffles from France are only two of the many wonderful ingredients we use to teach and cook with.
