Dr. V. Milkov obtained his MBBCh degree at Medical School, Sofia, Bulgaria in 1976. In 1980 he became a registrar in Medicine and in 1984 he completed his training and successfully passed the exam for registration as a Specialist Physician. After a further two years of training and another exam he became a Specialist Nephrologist. During 1987-1989 he was elected as a Secretary of the Bulgarian Society of Nephrology. From 1991 he practiced as a PMO in Teaching and Provincial Hospitals, directly involved in the management of patients with chronic renal failure on Dialysis. Dr Milkov has articles published both in Bulgaria and South Africa. Dr Milkov has had an extensive training in the field of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture as well as the use of Chinese herbs. He has a diploma in Advanced Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine.
